How it works

It’s easy to get started with FORS Approved eLearning.

  1. Choose a providerBrowse the list of approved third-party providers below.
  2. Contact provider and select a module – pick the eLearning module that meets your training need or FORS requirement.
  3. Complete the training – follow the provider’s instructions to register, take the module, and complete the assessment.
  4. Training provider will upload the training to the FORS Professional training register.

Each approved module counts towards the relevant FORS eLearning training requirement, giving you flexibility in how your drivers stay compliant.

What you will learn

The courses cover one or more of the following areas:

  • Work-related road risk (WRRR) – improving safety for all road users, including vulnerable road users, as required at FORS Bronze D4.
  • Security and counter-terrorism – personal, vehicle, load and passenger security, and awareness of terrorism threats, as required at FORS Bronze D4.
  • Fuel, emissions and air quality – reducing fuel use and emissions, and supporting decarbonisation, as required at FORS Silver S5.

What makes a course FORS Approved

Every FORS Approved eLearning course will:

  • Cover at least one full topic from the FORS eLearning syllabus, such as road safety, environmental awareness or operational security.
  • Reflect current issues, best practice, regulations, and technology in the transport industry.
  • Meet quality standards for design, engagement, interaction, multimedia and knowledge checks.
  • Meet technical standards for accessibility, integration and record keeping.

If you are an eLearning provider and would like your courses to be approved by FORS, you can apply for review.

How to apply

  1. Download and read the FORS Approved eLearning Guide (PDF).
  2. Complete the FORS Approved eLearning Application Form (Word).
  3. Submit your form and supporting materials following the instructions in the guide for approval.
